The B.Ed. course covers a range of subjects, including some foundation subjects (Educational psychology, philosophy, and sociology). It also includes specialization in subjects or educational levels.

Description of Course

As per the UGC guidelines, students will follow the course prescribed by the NCTE & Jai Prakash University, Chapra for 2-Years B.Ed. Course as and when notified:

  • In the 1st Year, course contains 7 Papers (C 1 to C 7a) and 3 EPC papers (EPC I, II, III). Total marks in the 1 year is 650 out of which 520 is Theory and 130 marks is Practicum.
  • Similarly, in the 2nd year, the total marks are 650 which contain 6 Papers (C 7b to C 11 and EPC IV). Most of the focus this year goes on to School Internship (16 Weeks) which has 250 marks. One Optional paper is mandatory this year.

After completion of the B.Ed. Program, the students and teachers will be able to:

  • Apply knowledge of diverse cultures, policies, and practices to create inclusive learning environments that accommodate the needs of all students.
  • Acquire a conceptual understanding of sociological analysis and gain practical experience engaging with diverse communities, children, and schools.
  • Apply principles of constructivist and cooperative learning to promote effective teaching and learning processes.
  • Analyze contexts and understand the relationship between school curriculum, educational policies, and learning outcomes.

  • Utilize drama and art as tools for the development of students' personalities and creative expression.
